Overview

We are delighted to be supporting our rapidly growing client to hire an Assistant Finance Manager to join the team based in Leeds. This role will support the Finance Manager in taking full responsibility for the onsite finance function. The role will offer study support where required and responsibilities will include:

  • Producing weekly management information and monthly packs relating to site contracts
  • Processing internal cross charges and trial balances
  • Providing and interpreting financial information relative to separate contracts
  • Monitoring cost flows and identifying future trends
  • Evaluating ways to cut costs and presenting viable options to the Finance Manager
  • Managing budgets and providing accurate information and costing
  • Ensuring that all purchase orders and supplier invoices are logged and processed
  • Holding petty cash and managing expenditure of sundries in conjunction with Finance Manager.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Fully AAT Qualified or Part-Qualified ACCA/CIMA
  • An experienced Assistant Accountant or a talented and highly experienced Accounts Assistant who is currently studying towards the above
  • Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • An excellent communicator with strong customer service skills, able to confidently liaise with colleagues and clients at all levels both verbally and in writing
  • Highly organised with good time management
  • Accurate in approach with a keen eye for detail
  • A self-starter, willing to quickly learn and take responsibility
  • IT confident and very strong in MS Excel.
