Overview

We are supporting our fast-paced client to hire a new costing accountant to join their growing finance team. In addition to a competitive salary the package includes a bonus scheme plus excellent benefits. Role responsibilities will include:

  • Maintenance and development of complex costing models using MS Excel
  • Reconciliation of old to new models
  • Running P&L, variances, etc to understand changes
  • Reconciling standards to operational MRP models
  • Maintenance of master data for products within costing using Dynamics 365
  • Costing for new concept products, calculating new sales prices
  • Analysing new product launches, ensuring costs are accurate
  • Analysing organisational data, assessing overheads and labour rates
  • Ad hoc project work as directed.

The role will suit an experienced costing accountant with the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • A qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experienced in costing complex multistage manufactured products
  • Excellent MS Excel skills (particularly VLookups and Pivot Tables)
  • Accurate under pressure with an exceptional eye for detail
  • Well organised, effectively able to prioritise
  • FMCG background is desirable but not essential.
