Overview

We are thrilled to be supporting our highly successful client in recruiting a Management Accountant to join the team in Leeds. Our ambitious client has experienced high levels of growth and projections are set for this to continue. The role will include study support where required.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Preparing month end journals
  • Preparing control accounts
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
  • Reporting on variance analysis
  • Analysing business performance and profitability plus ad hoc analysis as required
  • Supporting the improvement of target setting and cost control, identifying cost savings and efficiency improvements
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Fixed asset register maintenance
  • Preparing supplier payment runs
  • Providing support with transactional processes
  • Ad hoc reporting as required.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant (AAT/ACCA/CIMA)
  • An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Adept at building strong working relationships
  • IT confident with strong Excel skills
  • Accurate with excellent attention to detail.
