Overview

Our client is recruiting for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join the Head Office finance function in a newly created role to support the UK Central Accounting team. The role is based close to Leeds City Centre and offers onsite parking.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leader, offering study support and great exposure in a busy Head Office environment. Reporting to the UK FC, responsibilities will include:

  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Monthly management accounts analysis and nominal account review
  • Managing accounts queries
  • Journal preparation and processing
  • Fixed asset register maintenance
  • Reviewing weekly payment runs.

The successful candidate will be:

  • An experienced part qualified assistant accountant (CIMA/ACCA PQ or AAT Qualified) who can hit the ground running and support the team within this busy office environment
  • Experienced as an assistant accountant with strong nominal/general ledger skills
  • Excellent MS Excel skills.
