Overview
We are thrilled to be supporting our successful client to hire an experienced Credit Controller to join the team based in Huddersfield. This role offers excellent training in the company’s systems and products along with a highly competitive salary, and in return expects the highest levels of professionalism, technical experience, and collaboration.
The role will include:
- Implementing and maintaining robust payment procedures and policies to ensure timely payment
- Delivery of debtor day targets
- Accurate and timely receipts allocation (daily)
- Resolving queries in a proactive and positive manner
- Managing relationships with customers and third parties
- Setting up new accounts
- Maintaining existing accounts with a focus on strong customer relationships
- Monitoring of debtor account balances
- Monitoring credit limits, ensuring appropriate action is taken where required
- Organisation of monthly credit control meetings, accurate reporting of team activity/results
- Sales ledger assistance, importing invoices and credit notes
- Month end close
- Production of account statements
- Reconciling accounts
- Collaborating regularly colleagues in other departments.
The successful candidate will be:
- An experienced credit controller working within a busy commercial role
- An excellent finance administrator, highly organised in approach with a keen eye for detail
- IT confident with strong Excel skills, i.e. vlookups, pivot tables and data manipulation
- Experienced/confident in working with a range of finance systems
- A confident communicator with strong customer service skills
- Self-motivated, proactive and positive in approach
- Ideally CICM qualified (not essential)
- Ideally experienced in sales ledger (not essential).
