Overview

We are delighted to be working with a rapidly growing company in Leeds who have recently expanded into Europe. As a result of the expansion, the company is looking to appoint a Management Accountant in a newly created role. Reporting to the Financial Controller, duties will include:

  • Production of month end management accounts
  • Preparation of various management reports
  • Preparation of external reporting requirements including annual statutory accounts
  • VAT returns and other HMRC tax requirements
  • Assist with year end audits
  • Maintenance of fixed asset register
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Contributing to the development of junior finance team members through delegation of appropriate responsibilities
  • Providing ongoing support to senior management, ad hoc project work where required.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Part-qualified (ACA, CIMA or ACCA), part or fully AAT qualified, or an experienced QBE accountant
  • Self-motivated, confident, enthusiastic and hard-working
  • IT confident with advanced MS Excel, willing and able to learn new systems where required
  • Able to deliver clear, succinct and articulate verbal and written communications
  • Able to maintain excellent attention to detail whilst working under pressure
  • Highly organised in approach.
