Overview
We are delighted to be working with a rapidly growing company in Leeds who have recently expanded into Europe. As a result of the expansion, the company is looking to appoint a Management Accountant in a newly created role. Reporting to the Financial Controller, duties will include:
- Production of month end management accounts
- Preparation of various management reports
- Preparation of external reporting requirements including annual statutory accounts
- VAT returns and other HMRC tax requirements
- Assist with year end audits
- Maintenance of fixed asset register
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Contributing to the development of junior finance team members through delegation of appropriate responsibilities
- Providing ongoing support to senior management, ad hoc project work where required.
The successful candidate will be:
- Part-qualified (ACA, CIMA or ACCA), part or fully AAT qualified, or an experienced QBE accountant
- Self-motivated, confident, enthusiastic and hard-working
- IT confident with advanced MS Excel, willing and able to learn new systems where required
- Able to deliver clear, succinct and articulate verbal and written communications
- Able to maintain excellent attention to detail whilst working under pressure
- Highly organised in approach.
