Overview
We are supporting our fast-paced client to hire a new costing accountant to join their growing finance team. In addition to a competitive salary the package includes a bonus scheme plus excellent benefits. Role responsibilities will include:
- Maintenance and development of complex costing models using MS Excel
- Reconciliation of old to new models
- Running P&L, variances, etc to understand changes
- Reconciling standards to operational MRP models
- Maintenance of master data for products within costing using Dynamics 365
- Costing for new concept products, calculating new sales prices
- Analysing new product launches, ensuring costs are accurate
- Analysing organisational data, assessing overheads and labour rates
- Ad hoc project work as directed.
The role will suit an experienced costing accountant with the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- A qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Experienced in costing complex multistage manufactured products
- Excellent MS Excel skills (particularly VLookups and Pivot Tables)
- Accurate under pressure with an exceptional eye for detail
- Well organised, effectively able to prioritise
- FMCG background is desirable but not essential.
