Overview
We are delighted to be assisting our dynamic client to find an experienced commercial accountant to further drive business success forward. In addition to a competitive salary, the role offers a bonus scheme plus an excellent range of benefits. The responsibilities will include:
- Reporting of daily, weekly and monthly performance (internal and external)
- Managing the reporting process, making continuous improvements
- Running joint business plans directly with the customer
- Forecasting sales and profitability, reviewing performance and explaining variances
- Using robust sales analysis to influence decisions, meeting agreed targets
- Ownership of forecasting process to include product development, promotions, and so on
- Managing cost and retail price changes
- Supporting the Commercial Finance Manager whilst enhancing internal financial controls
- Competitor and customer analysis
- Enhancing internal and external relationships in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
The role will suit an experienced, commercially driven accountant with a track record of successful business partnering. This is a challenging role and the successful candidate will be:
- A qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- FMCG background is desirable but not essential
- An excellent communicator with an ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
- Able to work calmly and accurately under pressure
- Highly organised in approach with solid administrative skills
- A strong team player
- Accurate with a keen eye for detail
- Innovative in approach
- IT confident with excellent MS Excel skills.
