Overview
My client is looking to appoint an experienced Financial Accountant for their UK Head office in Leeds, which will be a hybrid of both home and office working.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take full responsibility for the Financial Reporting for the UK division. Duties will include:
Preparation of UK Group Statutory Accounts
Responsibility for general tax compliance, including PAYE, corporation tax and VAT returns
Month end reporting, including budgeting and forecasting
Managing relationship with external auditors and overseeing the completion of the year end audit
Managing the relationship with HMRC and other external bodies
Role will suit a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with outstanding technical accounting skills and experience of producing statutory financial accounts. You will have excellent reporting skills and a thorough knowledge of the month end p & l & balance sheet production.
You will have strong influencing skills, commercial acumen and ideally experience of working in a multi-site operation.
The role is initially an 18-month contract, with the possibility of permanency.
